Frequently asked questions
The most common questions we get from our clients
The pain is immediate and subsides quickly. All of our techs are properly trained on how to make your wax as comfortable as possible. Once your wax has been completed your skin may be tender to the touch and a light pink or reddish color. This is normal for 24-72 hours post waxing. We recommend adding on TLC at the end of your treatment if you tend to be extra sensitive.
Wax will remove your spray tan. We suggest getting a spray tan 48-72 hours after getting waxed.
Something comfortable and easy to remove, loose fitting comfortable clothing. Wear underwear that is not too tight to avoid irritation or go commando to avoid the friction altogether. Choose clothing that is easy to take off and put on, this will make the process much easier for you. The goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible during this process.
If you frequently shave or trim, stop now. Go to your calendar and mark 2 weeks from now - your hair will be long enough to get waxed on that date. Pre-book your appointment for that day or any day after.
In the meantime, exfoliate your skin 1-2x a week with a dry brush, exfoliating glove, or sugar scrub; apply a moisturizer with no active ingredients and a hydrating body oil twice daily; and stay hydrated! This will make your wax more comfortable and leave you with the best results.
On the day of your appointment avoid caffeine and oil based products before your wax and consider taking an Advil or Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment to help alleviate discomfort as well.
For the first 24-48 hours post waxing: Do not touch your skin, this will lead to bumps and irritation. Your hands may be dirty and your pores are open.

Facial hair & underarms can be waxed as soon as every 2-3 weeks.
All other body hair can be waxed as soon as every 3 weeks. We recommend not waiting more than 6 weeks as the service will be more painful and you will not get the best results as the cycle of growth would be affected.
You will want to see your technician for a facial every 4 weeks.
Lash lifts can be done every 6 weeks.
Your hair grows in three different growth cycles so depending on whether you have been shaving or trimming prior to getting waxed will affect your results, when you first start waxing it is typical to see some new growth after 8-10 days. After 3-4 consistent waxes your skin will stay hair free post waxing because you have successfully manipulated the hair growth cycles.

Tan Care
Here is what you do before your spray tan:
- Exfoliate your skin before your spray tan appointment to remove any dead skin cells and ensure an even application.
- Avoid using any lotions, oils, or deodorants on your skin before your spray tan session, as they can interfere with the solution's absorption and may result in streaks or uneven color.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment to avoid any friction that can rub off the solution.
Here is what you need to keep in mind on the day of your spray tan session:
- Wear dark, loose clothing to your appointment as the solution may rub off on clothing and light colors may become stained.
- Avoid wearing tight clothing or undergarments, as they can rub off the solution and cause streaks.
- Bring flip flops or open-toed shoes to wear after your session to avoid smudging the solution on your feet.
Here is what you do after your spray tan:
- Wait at least 8-12 hours before showering after your spray tan session to allow the solution to develop fully.
- Avoid activities that may cause sweating or rubbing of the skin, such as exercising or tight clothing, for at least 24 hours after your session.
- Moisturize your skin daily after your session to help maintain your tan and avoid dryness.
Here is the best way to maintain your tan:
- Avoid long, hot showers and baths as they can fade your tan more quickly.
- Pat your skin dry with a towel after bathing, rather than rubbing, to avoid rubbing off the solution.
- Exfoliate your skin gently with a non-abrasive exfoliant a few days after your session to help maintain an even tan.
